But before I came to work for LDS, my initial occupation was in the research of artifacts relating to "monsters", "non-humans", "spirits"-- whatever terms might be appropriate-- and how the influence of such beings and items relating to them has on humanity.

The idea of someone having come into a situation where they're not "100% human", as you put it, is something that I've noted repeatedly before.

And would you believe I might have the essence of a Dragon Whelp, that I think temporarily turns into that of an adult Dragon every so often...? Especially when I feel severely stressed or have a lot of Adrenaline in my system?

If you can call it that. I have little influence on the cards that the AI chooses to use. I build the decks that're used, certainly. But all I can do is adjust the "intelligence" of it, when it comes to the duels itself. The settings, the range of actions.

No. I simply program all of the personalities based off of what I think the monsters would act like, and the AI reacts accordingly.

The initial driving point of what got me into research, was my own Psychic Duelist abilities. No one could explain how I could have been born with them-- or even how they originated.

It's led me to wonder if there is a level of ancestry involved, connected to what we know as "monsters" and "spirits".

I'm saying that there's a theory that those with Psychic Duelist abilities, or otherwise what might be seen as "unnatural" abilities from birth, might have relations to monsters in their family lines.

Which might explain why the Buster Whelp's essence is oversynching with you, as you've put it.

Of course, this is unproven. It's difficult to tell what influences the individual or not.
