[Journal and Event]

[Journal]

This week, I'll be having the testing room open for any volunteers who may wish to participate in the AI registration program. I know some of you had been interested in participating, and I've been able to put aside the time to do the scanning, currently. Please make sure your deck is up to date, as it will be fully registered, and until the AI is solidified, I'd appreciate no last-minute changes after the initial registration.

Thank you.

[Event]

*So, this is kinda a three-fold event.

A) You're at Mamoru's testing room at LDS, either to take part in the AI registration program to have your likeness and deck recreated, or you're here to talk to him for some reason or another.

B)

Right outside of LDS's main building however, there's a red-haired woman standing there, arms crossed. Labrys seems to be keeping a steady eye on Mamoru for whatever reason, and she isn't going to budge anytime soon.

C)

... And that's because Tarou's been slinking around. Sure, he's trying to make himself look like he should be there, be it going around the other facilities that're open to the public and whatnot, but he is kinda loitering.*

Yes. Having experienced both facilities, LDS is strictly Dueling, a Quantity over Quality approach of producing Duelists. Think Cram School versus Personal Tutor, roughly.

Right, makes sense. What is the average time for a student to go through all of the courses? Is it true that some students only focus on one or two core methods of summoning, here?

Cram school hours. So after normal school lets out and until dinner time, roughly, and yes. Quantity over Quality. Easier to keep to very specific summoning methods.

How long do students usually stay in the courses? Compared to the three years that Duel Academy focuses on. And does it cover multiple age groups in comparison, since it's a cram school?

*well at least he's giving legitimate questions*

Might be as long as they're willing to pay. It's meant to be a pipeline into the pros and other paying gigs, such as Duel Idols, or security jobs like The Top Team. Honestly, haven't paid much attention to how long people go, but I do know we have a junior program...

So it's a bit of an all-in-one cram school course, got it.

Has anyone ever tried to do all of the possible courses?

Not allowed.

Wait, really? So it's rule-enforced that you can't do all courses?

Correct. You're put on a path. You are meant to go through the courses, specialize and become a specialized product.

Interesting. So it lies in contrast to Duel Academy, where they expect you to be knowledgeable in all techniques... Even if you don't use all of them.

Mass production versus personal craftsmanship, as I said.

Hnm, though I guess that's the fundamental differences between cram schools and curriculum-based school environments.

Though-- LDS seems to do a lot more than just teach how to duel, right? Apparently there's a number of research areas that're done outside of simply just handling schooling.

Yeah, we do research into next generation Dueling Tech, Simulators, Holographic Tech, and even how 'Hybridization' works.

Hybridization? Huh. That seems a bit dangerous.

But holographic tech, simulators. I know you guys apparently have a fancy AI machine, right?
